Group Account Director

Our Client Services team is growing! We are on the hunt for a seasoned Group Account Director with experience in MedTech marketing and building/leading scalable teams to lead one of our largest global accounts. Our client service team serves as the clients’ main point of contact and works strategically on solutions that drive measurable results. Who We’re Looking For:

The Group Account Director will oversee a large, global client with multiple business lines, reporting to the Director of Client Services. They are responsible for fostering strong client relationships across multiple business lines, domestically and internationally. They will work cross-functionally to ensure all teams have what they need to solve client challenges and deliver work with excellence— on time and on budget. This role is uniquely positioned to work closely with Smarty’s Chief Executive Officer, who has well-established relationships and extensive client knowledge on the account.

What You’ll Do:

  • Ownership: Full ownership and accountability for the success of Smarty’s relationship with the client across multiple business units and key stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Establish a clear vision and strategic direction for the account and team, aligning our work to clear business objectives and goals, establishing a strong partnership with our client leads, and identifying growth opportunities on the account.
  • Client Service: Primary client contact, responsible for day-to-day, timely and appropriate communications, managing client expectations and deliverables, and leading client presentations/meetings.
  • Strategy and Planning: Lead and contribute to annual planning, social strategy development, conceptual ideation, creative development, and strategic thinking.
  • Account Management: Develop proposals/SOWs, budgets, hours allocation/management, timeline management, creative reviews/approvals, and write briefs.
  • Growth, Mentorship, and Team Operations: Build a close working relationship with management and direct reports ensuring a clear understanding of agency operations and cross-functional collaboration. Assess the business needs to build/scale a team and fully invest in growing and training junior talent.
  • Decision-making: Work alongside the CEO and Director of Client Services to make informed and timely decisions to grow and shape the account by evaluating client input and business needs, keeping in mind both our agency POV and our client’s best interests.
  • Social Media Expertise: Proven expertise across paid and organic strategy, social content creation, working knowledge of best practices across all major social platforms, and social media management, plus the ability to analyze social media performance to create and present reports.

What you Bring to the Table:

  • A senior and dynamic leader who is unafraid to take the lead on a high-profile client and partner with senior agency leadership and executive-level clients.
  • 10+ years of agency client service and strategy experience and extensive knowledge of social media and digital marketing.
  • Demonstrate client service experience managing multi-million-dollar client business in med device or MedTech with healthcare providers (HCP) and direct-to-consumer (DTC) marketing experience across global markets.
  • You are a self-starter that thrives on building strong relationships with clients and agency partners with the ultimate goal of delivering work with excellence.
  • Social-savvy marketer with a strategic mindset, driving creative development and execution.
  • A strategic communicator with strong leadership skills who has built and managed teams.
  • Strong account and project management skill set, with creative vision and a solid understanding of the content creation process.
  • A facilitator and problem solver who can roll up their sleeves and operate at a macro and micro level.
  • Desire to fully own an account from end-to-end. Ready to jump in and do what it takes to get the job done, owning wins and areas of improvement along the way.
  • Comfortable working in a virtual environment utilizing project management and time-tracking tools.
  • Tech-savvy with a working knowledge of SaaS-based project management/communication tools, social media management platforms, Mac-based operating systems, and Google Business Suite.
  • Preferably resides in Southern California, but willing to travel and work across time zones as necessary.

Paid Media Manager, Social

Smarty Social Media is seeking an expert in Paid Social Media to join our Performance Marketing team and be part of our next phase of growth across a dynamic roster of clients focused in the healthcare vertical. In this role, you would support the planning, development, execution, and reporting of paid social campaigns across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of social media advertising, experience managing campaigns with a focus on driving conversions, and the ability to analyze data to optimize campaigns. This person will report to the Senior Director of Performance Marketing and will work closely with other in-house departments to ensure campaign alignment with business goals and brand messaging. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of hands-on experience, including relevant/applicable experience in digital marketing/media planning/media buying. This is a semi-remote position, with in-office attendance required periodically.

Necessary qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, advertising, communications, or similar
  • Prior experience: Minimum 4 years experience in digital media planning/buying with specific exposure to paid social campaigns (planning, executing, reporting). Agency experience preferred, but not required
  • Social Ad Platforms: Advanced knowledge of social advertising platforms (e.g. Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, LinkedIn, etc.). Ability to navigate and triage pixels, conversion events, AEM, etc.
  • Data analysis: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, comfortable with pivot tables, VLookups, etc. Knowledge of web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics
  • Project management: Demonstrable skills in Asana or a similar platform for managing projects and workflow with team members virtually. Ability to manage multiple campaigns and clients simultaneously
  • Daily Technology: Mac-based work system. Full working knowledge of Keynote, Microsoft Office suite, Slack, Google Workspace products, Dropbox, Asana (or similar project management tool)
  • Location: Smarty Social Media is located in Orange County; Senior Director is located in DFW. Open to applications from residents of Southern California or DFW.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in healthcare/med device/wellness verticals
  • Knowledge of marketing channels outside of social media (e.g. Paid Search, Programmatic, Email, Streaming, SMS, etc.)
  • Understanding of performance-focused ad creative strategy in order to build strategic briefs for in-house content team
  • Meta Blueprint Certification

What You’ll Do:

  • Planning: Support development of campaign strategy with client and internal team. Align paid media strategy with client goals and KPIs. Use historical data, platform best practices, and social trends to build effective and innovative campaigns.
  • Execution: Launch and manage campaigns across multiple platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc. Work directly within each social platform’s ad interface (e.g. Meta’s Ads Manager).
  • Optimizing: Continuously monitor campaigns to identify optimization opportunities and maximize efficiency of ad spend.
  • Analysis & Reporting: Pivot data to identify meaningful insights and be able to effectively communicate findings to account team and clients. Provide weekly/monthly/quarterly reports ranging from spreadsheets to full presentations.
  • Test & Learn: Identify opportunities for further learning or innovation by testing new creative, platforms, ad types, landing pages, etc.
